The Waag is a 16th century architectural monument in Leiden, Netherlands.
I was asked to create an artwork for this historic building. From a Feng Shui perspective the windowless walls were confining for the flow of energy, and the stone pillars and floor were very heavy.
To bring balance to the space I hung seven large photographs of vast blue skies in zinc frames to create the feeling of windows, and spaciousness. The addition of the artworks in the space created an energetic balance.
